Planting Seeds
of Prosperity

Roots of Our Mission

Creek & Lyells provides financial education to rising high school seniors and traditional college students, especially those who might not have access to financial guidance at home or in school.

Our flagship Financial Planning 101 course is an online, asynchronous program that guides students through:

  • Understanding income and budgeting

  • Managing credit and debt

  • Building savings and investments

  • Planning for taxes and long-term goals

All programs are fully donor-funded and free for participants, ensuring every young adult has the chance to learn before life's demands arise.

About Us

Did You Know?

The average US adult could only answer 48% of 28 financial questions correctly, while 37% of Gen Z and 30% of Gen Y could only answer seven of those same 28 questions correctly (Yakoboski et al., 2023).
