Grow FinLit:
Empower Learners

Skills for Everyday Financial Decisions

Financial literacy becomes more critical as students near adulthood, manage their own money, and gain financial independence. Our courses and workshops aim to help students build confidence and skills for handling everyday financial tasks. These aren’t just lessons to pass a test; they’re tools students can use right away and carry with them for life.

  2. Interpret income and estimate their true take-home pay.

  3. Create and manage a monthly budget based on real-world costs.

  4. Evaluate major spending decisions, including auto loans, student loans, and housing.

  5. Develop saving habits and begin building an emergency fund.

  6. Understand how credit works and how to maintain a healthy credit score.

  7. Recognize basic investment types and the relationship between risk and return.
