Edward I. Anderson III, M.S., CFP®, EA
Executive Director

Edward oversees the strategic direction, curriculum development, and program operations for Creek & Lyells. He has over 16 years of experience in banking, brokerage, and wealth management, backed by extensive academic training, including a Master’s in Personal Financial Planning, a Master’s in Education, and doctoral studies in Curriculum & Instruction.

A CFP® professional, IRS Enrolled Agent, and Accredited Portfolio Management Advisor™, Edward has helped hundreds of individuals and families with financial planning, investment decisions, and tax strategies. He is the founder of ClearVue Financial and has worked as a course developer, subject-matter expert, and professor at several universities.

Edward is dedicated to expanding access to practical, confidence-boosting financial education for young adults, making sure Creek & Lyells delivers programs that are evidence-based, mission-driven, and designed with student success in mind. Outside of his professional work, he enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, and working on DIY home renovation projects.

Alvin Fitzgerald III
Director | Student Affairs

Alvin supports program development and delivery at Creek & Lyells, bringing over 15 years of experience in education, coaching, and instructional design. His background includes modernizing high school curricula, creating student-centered learning environments, and mentoring young adults in both athletics and academics.

As a two-time Virginia High School League 6A Boys Basketball State Champion assistant coach, Alvin has a proven record of motivating students, building strong teams, and cultivating discipline and confidence. His expertise in instructional design and youth engagement informs his work at Creek & Lyells, where he helps develop practical, accessible financial education programs tailored to young learners' needs.

Alvin is dedicated to creating a supportive, growth-focused learning environment that helps students develop vital personal finance skills. Outside of his professional duties, he enjoys spending time with family, coaching, scouting, and a fellow golfer, all of which keep him grounded and connected to his community.

Calvin Royster II
Director | Finance

Calvin manages financial strategy, forecasting, and risk management for Creek & Lyells, leveraging over ten years of experience in the financial services and insurance sectors. As CEO of Anew Financial, he focuses on wealth building and risk management for individuals and businesses, applying practical expertise to the organization’s financial operations.

A dedicated financial educator, Calvin has mentored students through the Surge Program in Hampton Roads, led workshops for youth organizations, and served as an instructor focused on empowering the next generation with practical financial knowledge. He is also the author of Black Millennial’s Declassified Guide: Survival Guide to Insurance, a resource designed to help families make informed insurance and financial decisions.

At Creek & Lyells, Calvin serves as both financial officer and insurance SME, improving program quality through actionable insights, relatable examples, and instructional support. Outside of his professional role, he enjoys fatherhood, coaching youth sports, playing flag football, performing in the HBCU Battle of the Bands, and staying active in his church community.

India Adams-Jacobs, M.P.A
Director | Operations

India Adams-Jacobs serves as the Director of Operations and Secretary for Creek & Lyells, where she leads strategic planning, board governance, and the execution of mission-driven priorities. She brings more than 12 years of experience in public-sector budgeting, finance, and management, having overseen over $200 million in operating and capital budgets throughout her career.

An International City/County Management Association Credentialed Manager, India also serves as President-elect of the Virginia Local Government Managers Association and actively mentors emerging Millennial and Gen Z professionals pursuing careers in local government leadership.

India holds a B.S. in Public Administration from George Mason University, an M.P.A. and Graduate Certificate in Local Government Management from Virginia Tech, and a Project Management Certificate from the University of Washington Tacoma.

A Caroline County native and fourth-generation member of her family’s business, C.W. Edwards Funeral Home, India is deeply committed to helping young adults make informed financial decisions and build generational wealth. Outside of her professional work, she enjoys motherhood, coaching youth sports, playing softball, and staying engaged in her community.
